the bridge is a 57m long, five-span two lane reinforced concrete road bridge with a pedestrian walkway and the total width of the bridge is 10.96m. each span consists of 18 inverted reinforced ‘t’ beams with reinforced concrete infill.
The new bridge over the injisuthi river will serve as a link for bhekuzulu community giving them access to injisuthi clinic, ibonokuhle high school, umjwayeli primary school, and sizakancane primary school for the disabled and a sport field located in the proximity to the bridge.
